Manila, Philippines (March 2026) – In celebration of Women’s Month, Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery Collection opens its doors with In Her Element, a curated showcase honoring women as creators, storytellers, and cultural contributors in all their complexity. More than an art exhibit, it is a declaration of presence. Here, form, voice, and vision converge on HER canvas.
Rooted in the belief that women create most powerfully when allowed to exist fully as they are, In Her Element presents works born from lived experience, intuition, and intention. The pieces reveal strength that does not perform and softness that does not diminish power. Each artwork captures a moment of alignment—when a woman stands wholly present in her craft, her voice, and her truth.
A Meaningful Setting: El Atrio at Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery
The exhibition unfolds at El Atrio within Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery, a heritage property deeply rooted in the cultural legacy of Old Manila. As part of the globally renowned MGallery Hotel Collection, the hotel embraces storytelling, artistry, and purposeful experiences as defining pillars of its identity.
The property upholds the belief that women possess both the vision and the power to influence culture, community, and conversation. Hosting In Her Element is therefore not incidental; it is a meaningful extension of that commitment.
“Women empowerment is not a seasonal theme for us—it is a responsibility,” says Janine Taylor, the hotel general manager. “We believe women have the vision to lead and the influence to transform industries. In Her Element reflects exactly what we stand for at Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery: creating spaces where women do not shrink to fit expectations, but expand to own their narratives. Supporting this exhibition is our way of amplifying voices that deserve to be seen, heard, and valued.”
El Atrio transforms into a place of openness and connection, allowing each artwork to stand in clarity while contributing to a collective presence shaped by women’s voices. Artist statements accompany every piece, ensuring that intention and authorship remain visible. The artworks are available for acquisition, reinforcing the value of women’s creative labor as both cultural and economic contribution.
The Artists: Three Women, Three Distinct Voices
At the heart of In Her Element are three contemporary artists—Coeli Manese, Bea Policarpio, and Kyle Legaspi—each bringing a unique medium and perspective to the exhibition.

Coeli Manese: Painting as Worship
A technically oriented painter working in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, Coeli Manese creates abstract expressionist works centered on reflection and spirituality. Since beginning her painting career in 2018, she has refined both her technical and curatorial expertise, earning Certificates in Curating and Arts Marketing from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, alongside further studies in post-war abstract painting and modern art from the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Her canvases are kinetic yet contemplative—visual meditations grounded in discipline and devotion. Though her techniques continue to evolve, her approach remains constant: painting as an act of worship. Each piece is deeply personal, layered with intention, and anchored in faith.

Kyle Legaspi: The Poetry of Watercolor
Chery Faye “Kyle” Legaspi brings a softer yet equally compelling dimension through watercolor. Beginning her practice in 2016, she quickly established herself within the Philippine Guild of Watercolorists, earning recognition in national and international competitions, including the International Watercolour Masters.
Her works demonstrate the expressive potential of watercolor—fluid yet controlled, delicate yet resonant. From illustrating for Philippine Airlines’ Mabuhay Magazine to receiving awards from respected art institutions, Kyle’s journey reflects dedication and quiet strength. Painting from her home studio in Taguig City, she continues to translate emotion into luminous washes of color that feel intimate and sincere.

Bea Policarpio: Mapping the Subconscious
Rooted in abstract expressionism, Bea Policarpio transforms the unseen into vivid, tactile experiences through her dynamic works. Her striking color palettes and dreamlike compositions channel memory, empathy, and quiet introspection—charting an inner terrain that feels both intimately hers and universally resonant.
Her travels abroad and encounters with some of the world’s most esteemed museums and galleries have expanded her perspective on contemporary artistic practice. Still, at the heart of her work lies an intuitive dialogue with the subconscious. Each canvas carries a refined interplay of lightness and gravity—immersive emotional landscapes that gently draw viewers into reflections on human nature and their own inner worlds.

Art and Adornment: A Dialogue with Jewelmer
Complementing the artworks are selected pieces from Jewelmer, the globally recognized luxury jewelry house known for championing South Sea pearls. Their presence within the exhibition underscores another dimension of women’s creative and economic influence—where craftsmanship, heritage, and feminine strength intersect. The luminous pearls echo the exhibit’s central theme: beauty formed through time, resilience, and intention.
A Celebration of Alignment
In Her Element is not simply an exhibition—it is a convergence. A convergence of artistry and advocacy, of heritage and modernity, of voice and visibility. Within the storied walls of Admiral Hotel Manila – MGallery, women’s narratives unfold not as footnotes, but as centerpieces.
Available for the whole month of March, the exhibit stands as both celebration and affirmation: when women are given space to exist fully—without dilution or disguise—the result is powerful, transformative art.
