MANILA, 8 April 2025 – Okada Manila, the country’s premier Forbes 5-Star integrated resort, was once again named Overall Champion in the Hotel Category at the 11-in-1 National Fire Brigade Competition 2025, organized by the Safety Organization of the Philippines Inc. (SOPI)—reinforcing its position as a leader in safety and emergency preparedness.
Having bested 47 other integrated resorts and hotel chains across the country, Okada Manila’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) secured the championship for the third consecutive year, having also earned the title in 2023 and 2024. The event was held on March 8, 2025, at ARCA South, Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
Representing Okada Manila’s continued commitment to emergency readiness, the ERT also secured first runner-up at the 1st Mayor Eric Olivarez Fire Olympics 2025 on March 23, 2025, held at Aseana Business Park, Parañaque City. The team’s performance in both competitions showcased discipline, speed, and precision under pressure—hallmarks of Okada Manila’s safety training culture. This accomplishment is yet another feather in the cap of Okada Manila’s well-regarded fire brigade.
Adding to the accolades, Okada Manila was also recognized during the 51st National Fire Safety Conference in Makati, where it was awarded Overall Champion in the Hotel Category. The ERT won top honors in key events such as the Rescue and Transfer Relay and the Combination of Busted Hose and Up-the-Ladder, further cementing their place as the benchmark for emergency response teams in the hospitality sector.

In the SOPI Best Muse Competition 2025, Ms. Anthonette Borawis, a Casino Security Officer at Okada Manila, proudly earned the 1st Runner-Up title, reflecting the strength and grace of the individuals behind the resort’s safety programs.
