BARI: The Abandoned Princess

BARI: The Abandoned Princess

A Korean Myth Reimagined Through Manila’s Newest Immersive Experience

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Philippine Amusement and Entertainment Corp. (PAEC) ushers in a new era of immersive entertainment with the opening of BARI: The Abandoned Princess at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

Launching on May 23, 2026, BARI invites guests into a cinematic, multi-sensory journey inspired by the legendary Korean tale of Princess Bari; she is a forgotten daughter whose courage and sacrifice transcend betrayal, destiny, and even death itself.

Developed by PAEC, the attraction merges modern immersive technology with Korean mythology, combining large-scale digital environments, synchronized soundscapes, interactive spaces, and cinematic world-building to transport visitors directly into the heart of the story.

More than a visual attraction, BARI transforms guests from passive audiences into active participants within a living narrative where folklore, emotion, and innovation converge in one unforgettable experience.

A Story You Don’t Just Watch… You Enter

Abandoned at birth by a kingdom that wished to erase her existence, Bari grows up far from the royal life she was denied. But years later, when the same king and queen who cast her aside face death, it is the forgotten princess who embarks on a journey beyond the realm of the living to save them.

Crossing mountains, oceans, and mystical worlds, Bari’s story unfolds through immersive spaces designed to blur the boundaries between myth and reality, memory and emotion.

Rooted in ancient Korean folklore, the experience explores themes of sacrifice, love, forgiveness, and destiny through a contemporary immersive format unlike anything currently offered in the Philippines.

Where Myth Becomes Reality

At BARI, storytelling extends beyond screens and stages. Every room evolves like a living chapter where light, movement, sound, and space work together to shape the emotional journey.

Guests move through dreamlike environments where landscapes shift in real time, surreal worlds emerge around them, and every transition reveals another layer of the story.

The attraction’s signature immersive spaces include:

Beginning of the Journey: Manila to Seoul

Guests begin their experience inside a virtual transit hub where the distance between Manila and Seoul disappears, transporting visitors directly into Bari’s mythological world through immersive visual transformations.

Love in the Seasons of Seoul

Inspired by Seoul’s Naksan Park, this immersive installation captures the beauty of fleeting memories, changing seasons, and moments of quiet connection through poetic digital environments.

Bari: The Abandoned Princess

Serving as the emotional centerpiece of the experience, this chapter follows Bari across mountains, oceans, and luminous dreamscapes toward a breathtaking procession with the Kkokdu, the mystical guides between life and death.

Step into the Story

A dynamic interactive environment where guests become part of the unfolding narrative itself, encountering spirits, symbols, and living folklore that respond to movement and exploration.

Redefining Immersive Entertainment in the Philippines

As immersive attractions continue to grow worldwide, BARI introduces a new kind of storytelling experience to local audiences that combines mythology, emotion, technology, and culture into a single seamless journey.

Designed for families, tourists, creatives, and experience-seekers alike, BARI offers visitors a chance to step inside a world where stories are no longer simply observed, but deeply felt.

Located at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, BARI is expected to become one of Manila’s most talked-about immersive attractions this year.
