MANILA, Philippines — PlayTime Entertainment has partnered with ABS-CBN Corporation’s iWant to produce original Filipino programming, beginning with the romantic comedy “Will You Fake Marry Me?” starring JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, and “Sparks Camp Season 4.”
The collaboration marks the first of several projects aimed at delivering premium local content that resonates with Filipino audiences.
“This partnership with PlayTime Entertainment allows us to make more stories but also higher quality programs,” said Jolly Estaris, Head of iWant. “By combining our creative expertise with PlayTime Entertainment’s commitment to innovative storytelling, we can continue to deliver content that resonates with Filipino audiences while raising the bar for local entertainment.”
PlayTime Entertainment said the partnership reflects its commitment to creating original content shaped by audience insights and meaningful storytelling.
“We will continue to listen to and understand what our audience wants through constant research and engagement,” said Adela Mae Marshall, spokesperson for PlayTime Entertainment. “While we may be starting with a familiar romantic comedy formula, we are excited to explore beyond this genre and experiment with different story concepts, themes, and talents. The goal is not only to entertain but also to contribute to the growth of Filipino entertainment.”
Looking ahead, PlayTime Entertainment said it aims to expand its collaboration with iWant by developing more original productions across different genres, creating stories that entertain, connect with audiences, and reflect the diverse experiences of Filipinos.
