Udenna Foundation and Wendy’s forge stronger bonds through Malaking Munti Foundation Initiative

The UDENNA Foundation, staying true to its commitment to uplift and inspire the community, through empowering the youth, partnered with the Malaking Munti Foundation in a Father & Son Summer Camp held in Capas, Tarlac last May 12 to 14.

The event, held at Ciendasara, Brgy. Lawy, and hosted by members of the creative agency, IdeasXMachina Group of Hakuhodo, saw its participants engage in several activities, including crafting and flying kites, learning how to start a fire without matches or a lighter, cooking rice in bamboo, and basic first aid administration, among other activities, games, prizes and freebies.

This was the first-ever Father & Son Summer Camp hosted by the Malaking Munti Foundation, an organization initially founded to enable children to dream big and achieve greatness from small beginnings through organizing fun, educational and grassroots-based initiatives.

Donations from several brands, including Wendy’s Philippines were also shared with its participants, boys aged 7-14 years old, with their accompanying fathers, during the event.

“We are honored to be part of this initiative organized by the Malaking Munti Foundation,” shared Cherylyn C. Uy, President of the UDENNA Foundation. “At UDENNA, we believe in the importance of helping the youth ensure preparedness, and supporting the development of young minds in our community. It is our pleasure to contribute to this meaningful event.”

“This Summer Camp strongly resonates with Eight8Ate’s Hungry for Good initiatives which include the commitment to delighting people through promoting inclusive growth and empowering communities,” shared Joey R. Garcia, President and CEO of Eight-8-Ate.

“I believe that the best way to encourage learning is by making it fun,” shared Third Domingo, Chairman and Co-founder of both IdeasXMachina and the Malaking Munti Foundation. “We’re hopeful to have more opportunities such as these to share with the children who need it, along with the support from our partners, in the future.”
