MANILA, PHILIPPINES — A memorable wedding is often the result of countless creative details coming together seamlessly. From fashion and floral design to styling, entertainment, and hospitality, every element contributes to an experience that feels uniquely personal.
This spirit of collaboration was on full display at Light The Aisle: A Luminous Beginning, held at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort Entertainment City last May 9–10, 2026. The two-day showcase gathered some of the country’s respected names in weddings, events, and design, offering couples a closer look at the ideas, artistry, and expertise shaping today’s celebrations.
The event formally opened with a ceremonial ribbon cutting led by Solaire Resort Entertainment City’s Vice President for Hotel Operations, Marimil Ermita, alongside industry partners and participating creatives.

Throughout the weekend, guests explored a range of themed concepts presented by wedding planners, stylists, designers, florists, and event specialists. Each installation reflected a distinct interpretation of modern celebrations, from romantic elegance and contemporary Filipino influences to dramatic couture-inspired settings and immersive reception experiences.
Beyond visual inspiration, the showcase also offered opportunities for learning and conversation through The Aisle Conversations, a masterclass series featuring discussions on wedding planning, bridal beauty, event styling, ceremony direction, and content creation. Designed to feel intimate and engaging, the sessions allowed guests to connect directly with respected professionals from across the industry.
Adding another layer to the experience was a special couture presentation by renowned designer Francis Libiran, whose bridal creations highlighted refined craftsmanship and contemporary sophistication.

The showcase culminated in A Luminous Atelier, an editorial bridal presentation by celebrated designer Val Taguba. Featuring sculptural silhouettes, romantic details, and modern couture pieces, the collection embodied grace and elegance, with beauty queen Ahtisa Manalo appearing as Taguba’s muse during the final bridal walk.

Supporting the showcase’s immersive and editorial direction was its collaboration with Beyond Creatives, led by Experience Curator and Creative Director Mauie Castañeda. The partnership helped shape a more experience-led approach to the bridal showcase, encouraging guests to engage with wedding inspiration in a thoughtful and meaningful way.
“Light The Aisle was created to bring clarity and intention back into the wedding journey,” shared Castañeda. “Today’s couples are surrounded by endless options, and we wanted to create a space where inspiration felt intentional, emotionally connected, and easy to navigate.”
For Solaire Resort Entertainment City, the showcase reflected a broader vision of how celebrations continue to evolve.
